The Fabulous health and wellness app has attracted over 1.2 million users since its launch date in 2014. Sami Ben Hassine, CEO of Fabulous, alongside co-founders Amine Laadhari and Taylor Ling led this project to success.
Production began in Paris, extending to research teams at Duke University’s Center for Advanced Hindsight. Hassine came up with the idea before Laadhari and Ling came on board. Hassine believed that building good habits could unlock the “fabulous” self that is locked inside each of us, and this belief became the name of the app.
Fabulous uses behavioral science as a way to coach its users, which helps them practice better habits. The crew knew that human behavior would be a difficult topic to discuss, as regular routine checklists and intrusive reminders alone could delay the process of forming good habits.
Fabulous uses a technique called “environmental change,” which involves organizing your space. Changing one’s environment can encourage people to make better choices.
The coaching system guides the participant towards a healthier and more productive lifestyle by helping the user build daily rituals. Finding structure and maintaining discipline with daily routines can help shift your mindset.
Throughout the journey of personal development, the application offers multiple challenges to overcome. Once completed, colorful illustrations show the user’s progress using motivational quotes, story progression, and unlockable achievements.
These weekly challenges turn everyday life into a quest fueled for you by story progression in the app. If you’re struggling to stay motivated, then connecting with a built-in community of inspired people from around the world could help.
This app offers instruction that navigates at your own pace. It guides you in building a healthy rhythm by starting you with one task before adding another. Fabulous will teach you mindfulness and can relieve stress, while pushing you to get things done. For example, you can complete challenges focused on cleaning your house or focus on personal projects.
Trying “Fabulous” will teach you methods that you can apply on a daily basis. It can propel you to the top of your game and set you on the path to success. “Fabulous” is available on iOS and Android.
