The Apex Legends Warriors Collection brought a secret buff to Rampart’s mobile “Sheila” minigun that wasn’t mentioned in the event patch notes, which the devs have now canceled.

The Warriors Collection event brought many changes to Apex Legends Season 12, including a legacy for Crypto, new cosmetics, the long-awaited return of the Control LTM, and next-gen upgrades for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions. / S of the Game.

However, the new update also brought some unexpected changes to the Rampart character’s abilities. This Legend’s Ultimate received a shadow buff which is not mentioned in the patch notes.

According to famous data miner “Shrugtal”, the cooldown of the Sheila Minigun from Rampart has been reduced by 30%bringing him down from 1.75 seconds for 1.25 seconds. This change has not been applied to the turret variant of its Apex Legends Ultimate ability.

This ends up making the ultimate noticeably more powerful, as Rampart players can now fire the weapon faster. Since the weapon deals a high amount of damage, this buff allows the legend to down enemies at breakneck speed.

Winding time is meant to make the minigun less effective up close, and this secret buff was described by Shrugtal as “crazy” for the difference it makes in combat situations.

Rampart currently has the lowest pick rate of any legend in the Battle Royale title, so this type of change may lead to more players picking her. Additionally, the update also brought a small damage buff to Shatter Caps for the Bocek Bow weapon.

However, it looks like these changes may not have been intentional, as Respawn has now released a hotfix addressing the shadow buff, returning it to its pre-update state.

While the removal of the Ultimate buff may disappoint players who were looking to try it out, it’s clear the developers found this change to make the character too powerful and was also unintentional.
