More than 14.05 lakh anganwadi workers downloaded Poshan, the Ministry of Women’s and Children’s Development’s app to track nutrition delivery services that was launched in March this year, the Ministry of Women’s and Children’s Development’s app said on Thursday. WCD Minister Smriti Irani.

“POSHAN monitoring provides a 360-degree view and monitoring of the anganwadi center, nutrition service delivery and comprehensive beneficiary management for pregnant women, nursing mothers and children. A real-time update of the beneficiaries on the defined indicators will allow timely interventions.
“Since the launch of POSHAN Tracker, more than 14.05 lakhs of anganwadi workers have downloaded the app, more than 7.08 crore of beneficiaries have been integrated into the app, more than 1.24 crore of take-out ration in home (THR) were monitored, 68.79 crore hot cooked meals (HCM)) were tracked, “Irani said in a series of tweets.
The application has the ability to generate automated alerts and efficient audit of the delivery system by documenting the real-time attendance of beneficiaries and managers and an effective training feedback mechanism in place.
Developed by MoWCD, the Poshan tracking app enables real-time monitoring and tracking of all anganwadi centers (AWC), anganwadi workers (AWW) and beneficiaries.
It offers a 360-degree view of AWCs, AWWs activities and comprehensive beneficiary management for pregnant women, nursing mothers, children, adolescents and adolescents. The app can be downloaded easily to devices with Android 6 and above operating system.
